After returning from deployment, a family member noticed the 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was not being cared for. He knew the pup deserved a better life, and made the tough decision to surrender the family dog. As the only owner surrender animal facility in the Sacramento region, we said YES.
Once in our care, Otto received the 'senior special' – bloodwork and dental extractions. Unfortunately, poor Otto had to have all his teeth removed.
He recovered in the home of one of our foster families, where he received routine medicated baths to treat his skin conditions. He also enjoyed plenty of couch time and snoozing. After just one month, Otto looked like a new pup, and the happy senior found his new family. |
